MOT Testing

David May Motor Services, Ivybridge offer fully qualified mechanical services, including your annual MOT testing. We aim to make sure that it couldn't be easier.

Simply call us to book your car in (Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings). If you prefer you can come to our garage with your car and wait with a coffee and today's newspaper. If you prefer we can arrange for your car to be picked up from your home or place of work.

Once we have carried out the MOT tests on your car, it will either be returned to you, complete with VOSA approved MOT certificate or we will notify you if repairs are required and make arrangements for them to be carried out.

Vehicle Servicing 

When it comes around for your car to require its annual service, then don't hesitate in getting in touch with us. Our team of fully-qualified and trained technicians are able to carry out full services on all makes and models, including light commercial vehicles.

Even if the manufacturer's warranty is still valid, we will carry out all servicing using genuine parts. Our checklist includes; seat-belt safety checks, fluids and battery checks, complete wheel balancing, steering and suspension checks, a road test and much more. Contact us for more information.

Diagnostics and fault finding

If you notice an unusual light appearing on the dashboard or perhaps a noticable fault occurs whilst you are driving, then please call us and we will have our diagnostics specialist find the problem. We use full fault code diagnostic equipment, which means that in up-to-date models we can establish exactly what the fault is on your vehicle and what is needed to fix it.

Air conditioning

Do you realise that your air conditioning system will lose about 10% off of its performance each year? If you arrange an appointment here at David May Motor Services, then we can restore this to full working order. Our technicians can ensure that you are always getting the optimum performance from your air-con, using our automated machine utilising ultra-violet dyes which us to pinpoint any leaks in the system.
